Awale Drilling Company & Engineering Constructor was established in 2001. Since its inception, the company has successfully completed numerous contracts funded by various donors. These projects include drilling boreholes, rehabilitating boreholes, desilting and upgrading shallow wells, constructing water-related structures, constructing water reservoirs, constructing water catchments, and solar installations. All contracts have been completed in schedule across the country.

The company has operated across diverse locations, utilizing specialized drilling modules or air compressors tailored to specific site requirements supported by a skilled management team. The company owns five drilling rigs of different types and capacities and has successfully drilled over 65 boreholes across the country. The company’s equipment inventory includes excavators, graders, compactors (rollers), loaders, truck-mounted cranes, concrete mixers, tipper trucks, water tankers, and power generators.

The company currently employs around 45 permanent staff members, with additional contract drillers and skilled workers hired as needed. Employees bring a broad range of experience in drilling boreholes and hydrogeological investigations and construction services. The company provides comprehensive drilling borehole services, including consultancy with specialized drill rigs, most mechanical and engineering services required to support drilling operations are handled at the company’s workshop in Mogadishu with external work completed as necessary.
